Harrison Democratic district leader Maria Polera has been charged with sending unauthorized pizzas to the home of the town's mayor Joan Walsh for about a year.
Polera, who ran for the position of receiver of taxes on the same ticket as Walsh -- who also holds the position of town supervisor -- twice, but lost both times, pleaded not guilty on Tuesday to theft of services and harassment.
She was released without bail.
Polera is due back in court on Aug. 9.
Last month, Walsh said for about a year pizza and Chinese food would be delivered to her house on a weekly basis. On one night she said she got as many as four pies.
