NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) – The New York City Police Department say they’ve nabbed the man suspected of shooting a 2-year-old girl in the head and a 5-year-old girl in the neck.

Police arrested Luis Moore, 23, of 2130 Strang Avenue in the Bronx.

The shooting took place Monday evening.

Cops say that at about 7:46 p.m., they responded to a 911 call. Apparently a group of people were standing around East 181st Street near Daly Avenue when a gunman opened fire.

Three people were hit, including a 20-year-old who was shot in the back. The 20-year-old may have been the intended target. He’s in stable condition.

The 2-year-old girl and 5-year-old were also shot, and were rushed to St. Barnabas Hospital. The 2-year-old was in critical condition.

Moore faces attempted murder, assault, criminal possession of a firearm and criminal use of a firearm charges.

Its spelled “They’re” tough and “to” afghinstan. Genius u cant give people willing to shoot american children a gun and ship him off to a foreign county to represent us. This guy clearly displays a level of depreved indifference necessary to have him removed from the general population. I’m not so naieve to think he’ll sudddenly develop social skills in prison and for that reason I submit my suggestion of life in prison with the possibility of parole in 35 years. Only because none of the children has died yet, should that change, or if the 2 year old loses mental capacity, no parole.

Brian, I think Bullett (a “genius” as you describe him) was merely making a point that this punk is just that, a punk, and without that gun he is not very tough and that if he was in Afghanistan he wouldn’t be facing little kids on a street corner, but adversaries who themselves are caring weapons a lot more potent than a gun.

By the way, since you seemed to enjoyed slamming the Genius because he used bad grammar (as millions do. Just read any blog), I think I’ll do a little slamming myself. For instance:
