“It’s exciting. It’s my first concert and I’m really excited,” 10-year-old Grace told CBS 2′s Dave Carlin.
“I think its awesome. Well, it’s Bocelli.” added 11-year-old Griffin.
“I guess being an old, Italian romantic, we’ve always loved him and we’ve followed him through his tours,” one man, who brought his family from Florida, told 1010 WINS’ Sonia Rincon. “We had such a great time.”
Soprano Ana Maria Martinez told CBS 2 it doesn’t get any better than how it was Thursday night.
“It’s an absolute honor and a joy. Sometimes I’m pinching myself thinking, ‘my God what a beautiful lineup of artists’ and we’re all doing this with a lot of joy,” she said.
Umbrellas were seen up and down during the performance, but people’s spirits were up the whole time as the voice of Bocelli warmed them up on a cool, rainy night in Central Park.
