New Ankles To Knees Pat-Downs At NFL Stadiums

NORTH TEXAS (CBSDFW.COM) - The security searches at Cowboys Stadium are about to get a lot more personal. Full-body pat-downs are coming to the NFL.

The switch, from above-the-waist pat downs to full-body searches, is happening in part because of the incident during the September 11 Dallas Cowboys football game in New York.

During the game a Cowboys fan got into an argument with Jets fans and hit several of them with a taser or stun gun.

The new searches are mandatory league wide and will begin with the football game at Cowboys Stadium on September 26.

The new security rule is expected to increase the amount of time spent waiting in line, so fans across the country are being encouraged to get to stadiums early.
