B&C Morning Show: Jerry The Cowboys Fan Doesn't Blow His Update

Jerry 'Rello' Recco is a die-hard Cowboys fan (photographic evidence: a star-struck Jerry meets his idol, Herschel Walker). So after Dallas' collapse on Sunday (they lost to the Lions 34-30 after leading 27-3 in the 3rd quarter), we all wondered what kind of condition Jerry would be in this Monday morning.

With everything that happened over the weekend he certainly had his work cut out for him.

Predictably, Jerry was up to the task - he is a 'pro's-pro' - and he began things with the 2-2 Jets, who earned that record after a 34-17 loss to the Ravens last night in Baltimore.  The Giants improved to 3-1 with a miraculous, 31-27 comeback win over the Cardinals, which was aided by a favorable call after a rookie gaffe by Big Blue wide receiver Victor Cruz.

The Giants' NFC East foe Philadelphia Eagles were on the wrong end of a comeback against the 49ers, as the 'Dream Team' dropped to 1-3 and are win-less at home.

On to the baseball playoffs, as the Yankees dropped Game 2 to the Tigers and will now head to Detroit with the ALDS tied 1-1.  We heard from the one and only John Sterling calling Miguel Cabrera's 1st inning long-ball and Craig was thrilled to see that Sterling was featured in a  New York Times piece over the weekend, although he was a little sore there was no mention of him or the Booms.

Tonight's Yanks-Tigers game will feature the two pitchers who started Game 1 Friday night in the Bronx (which was postponed due to rain), Justin Verlander and CC Sabathia.

Rounding out the rest of the action on the diamond, The Phillies lost 5-4 to the Cardinals (series tied 1-1) and the Brewers took a commanding 2 games to none lead on the Diamondbacks after a 9-4 win yesterday afternoon in Milwaukee...
