JERSEY CITY, N.J. (CBSNewYork) — Vandals struck again overnight on the streets of Jersey City.

Someone slashed the tires on 22 cars that were parked in the area around Bowers Street and Milton Avenue, according to police.

Eileen Lehpamer of 1010 WINS spoke with one of the tire slashing victims who believes young people may be behind the vandalism.

“We think it’s kids running up and down the block, probably teenagers,” she said.

All of the damaged tires were on the vehicles’ passenger side and most had two tires cut up.

Another neighborhood resident said tire-slashing incidents happen about once a year in the area. Police have yet to make any arrests.
