NEW YORK (WCBS 880) – In November 2009, New York City Det. Adam Frasse suffered a heart attack and has been in a vegetative state in a Woodbury nursing home ever since.

He and his wife of now 20 years have two young children and it has been difficult for them.

“They are wonderful with their dad. They come up and they climb into bed with him and they talk to him,” his wife Kara said. “It’s very hard for them because, obviously, he doesn’t respond to them, but he was a very very loving daddy.”

A fundraiser will be held this Saturday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Mulcahy’s at 3232 Railroad Avenue in Wantagh.

For more information, visit the All For Adam website.

Friends and family from as far away as California will be coming in for the event.
