Westbury Residents Warned Of Scam Artists
WESTBURY, NY (WCBS 880) - Authorities say suspected door-to-door scam artists are likely casing homes and targeting people for robberies.

They seem to have focused on the village of Westbury and residents are being extra cautious.
"We all look out for each other...I know the economy is bad right now and people are just doing crazy things," said one resident.
Police have just beefed up patrols and are asking residents to call them if they see anyone suspicious.
The scam artists are claiming to sell things like doors, windows, and driveway sealant and are believed to be from out-of-state.
It's suggested that you be extra careful before letting anyone in your house.
