WCBS-FM Radio Host To Name Tri-State Area’s Best Pizza

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) — If there’s one thing area residents can agree on, it’s that New York & New Jersey boasts some of the best pizza in the country.

But which local spot serves up the best slice?

WCBS-FM radio host Joe Causi, Brooklyn’s own “Man About Town,” has taken on the tedious task of determining the best pizza in the Tri-State area. But he’s not going it alone.

Causi has decided to have his listeners decide.

The radio host will be gathering their submissions by phone, text, Facebook and Twitter. After the finalists are narrowed down, they’ll battle it out for votes in a web poll, the winner of which will receive a visit from Causi and his street team.

Voting is slated to end on Friday, Oct. 28.

For information on how to vote or to submit your favorite pizza place, visit the WCBS-FM website here.

DeLorenzo’s in Trenton NJ., then Joe’s downtown by NYU.

Pizza is a very subjective thing. You can fight over it forever, but people’s tastes are different and what one person thinks is the best, another one may not. There are just too many variables – thickness of crust, sauce, cheese, degree to which it is cooked (well done or not), oven type. It’s all a matter of individual taste.

Yep, I bet you’re right – including the reporter. Anyway, the best Pizza is in New Haven.

Get ready for the yuppies and transplants to put their two-cents in. They grew up with ketchup on bread and now they will be the authority on this topic like they are with everything else in this city.
