The nation’s interior secretary joined top New Jersey officials Monday to dedicate the Paterson Great Falls as America’s 397th national park.

The 77-foot waterfall – which played a key role in the Industrial Revolution – is the largest on the East Coast after Niagara.

The designation makes the site eligible for federal funds.

“The 77-foot waterfall – which played a key role in the Industrial Revolution – is the largest on the East Coast after Niagara.”

That is a pretty ludicrous statement. Did anyone research this statement at all?

It is a terrific falls, but Great Falls isn’t even the highest waterfall in NJ. That distinction belongs to Greenbrook falls at 250 feet.

Where in the “ludicrous statement” does it mention that Great Falls is the highest? Falls are measured by area and volume of water as well.Perhaps research on your part might have permitted you to understand .
