Mets Lowering Prices To Fill The Stands At Citi Field

NEW YORK (WCBS 880) - As the New York Mets have struggled on the field, their attendance has fallen 23 percent over the past two years.

That's why team vice president Dave Howard says they're lowering ticket prices across the board.

They're also adding a special five-game package.

"Those will be pre-selected five games and they start as low as $50 per seat," he told WCBS 880 reporter Peter Haskell.

Some packages even come with perks.

"Everything ranging from taking batting practice on the field to meeting our players to being involved with other of our events behind the scenes," he said.

Howard says he feels good about what fans will see.

"I think we'll be playing an exciting brand of baseball," he said.

The Mets finished eight games under .500 last year.
