Body Of 2-Year-Old Girl Found In NJ; Arrest Warrant Issued For Child's Father
WALL TOWNSHIP, N.J. (CBSNewYork) -- An arrest warrant has been issued for the father of a little New Jersey girl, whose body was discovered in a creek late Tuesday night.
Police said Arthur Morgan, III, picked up 2-year-old Tierra Morgan from her mother Monday at around 7 p.m. for his court approved visit, but never returned. They were last seen in Lakehurst Borough, which is in Ocean County.
More than 24 hours after she disappeared, Tierra's body was found near Shark River Park in Wall Township.
School students found the little girl strapped in her car seat and face down in the creek, CBS 2's Sean Hennessey reported.
Authorities are still searching for Morgan. He has been charged with endangering the welfare of a child, a second-degree offense, and interference with custody.
