Tree Sellers Say There’s A Science To Buying Your Christmas Tree
NEW YORK (WCBS 880) – For many here in the Tri-State, the Christmas tree is the centerpiece of the holiday season. And for those people, there’s a little bit of science involved in selecting that perfect tree.
“They want to feel for the needles to make sure all the needles are on there, the branches are upright, they’re not hanging down and just look for a nice crisp color on the tree,” Giro DiLillo, of Prianti Farms in Dix Hills, says.

Delillo also suggests sniffing the Christmas tree for that perfect smell.
“The aroma gives it a whole festive Christmas spirit going on and the smell of the tree wafting throughout your house is what really makes the Christmas,” he says.
Christmas fans can shop for all shapes, sizes, prices and DiLillo recommends within the next two weeks to get your tree.
“You’re gonna do it once a year,” he says. “You might as well go with the real tree. It’s memories that you’re going to have.”
