Somers' Monologue: What Will Mets Do With All That Money Saved?

NEW YORK (WFAN) -- What are the Mets going to do with all the money saved?

Maybe they'll go out and get some other players, somebody that you might want to pay very good money to see?

Jose Reyes is gone. Carlos Beltran, Francisco Rodriguez -- both gone.

So now the Mets have no second baseman, no shortstop, no catcher, no left fielder, no center fielder and no right fielder.

No. 1 in their rotation? Nope. They're also without a setup man and a closer.

So Steve Somers will honor Reyes by starting his show and then leaving early.

He'll also miss work at least twice this summer.
