MOUNT SINAI, NY (WCBS 880) - A big tonight in Mount Sinai may bring a new proposed $80 million outdoor mall one step clsoer to becoming a reality.

Mount Sinai residents say they would love the tax revenue and jobs the outdoor mall would bring, but not the traffic.
"Traffic now during Christmas is insane," one homeowner told WCBS 880 Long Island Bureau Chief Mike Xirinachs on Tuesday morning.
The Brookhaven town board votes on the 30-acre project tonight, one that some say would bring the community jobs and a village center that it badly needs.
"We do need jobs, but I don't think we need another mall," the homeowner added.
The vote is set for 5 p.m. at Brookhaven Town Hall.
