Woman Dead After Early Morning Bronx Night Club Shooting

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) – A woman was shot in the head at a Bronx night club and several others were also shot nearby on early Sunday morning, police said.

Police said they responded to a 911 call of shots fired at Club Heat at 405 Hunts Point Ave. where they found 33-year-old Monique Rodriguez, of the Bronx, with a gunshot wound to the head.

At the same time, police responded to another call—this time at 1152 Randall Ave., where a 28-year-old Hispanic male approached the ambulance at the same location. It was determined that he had fled from Club Heat, according to the police report.

EMS transported the male victim to Lincoln Hospital where he was listed in stable condition.

There are no arrests at this time and the investigation is ongoing.
