East Orange Woman Pleads Not Guilty In Fatal Penis Injection Case

NEWARK, NJ (CBSNewYork) -- A New Jersey woman accused of giving a man a deadly injection of silicone in his penis has pleaded not guilty.

Authorities have charged 34-year-old Kasia Rivera of East Orange with reckless manslaughter and unauthorized practice of medicine.

Prosecutors say 22-year-old Justin Street had gone to Rivera for the injections to get his penis enlarged.

He died the next day. The medical examiner ruled the cause of death was silicone embolism.

Rivera is being held on $75,000 bail.

Investigators are trying to determine if Rivera gave similar injections to other people.
