Report: NJ Man Fatally Beat Wife After Dispute Over Counseling

CHESTER TOWNSHIP, N.J. (AP) — Authorities say a 75-year-old New Jersey man allegedly beat his wife to death with a baseball bat after they argued over psychological counseling that she and their son had insisted the man undergo.

Leo Moran faces murder charges in the death of his 74-year-old wife, Charlotte, who was beaten multiple times in their Chester Township home on Thursday. He remained jailed Saturday in lieu of $1 million bail.

The Star-Ledger of Newark, citing court documents, reported that Leo Moran had repeatedly resisted the counseling before finally agreeing to have his son take him to a hospital for a screening on Wednesday night.

But Moran became angry when family members said he wasn’t honest with the counselor. He also feared his wife of 54 years had been unfaithful.

You have no idea what we have endured lately dealing with his illness and struggling to handle this now on top of it. You can read what you want in the papers and formulate your own opinion, but for fu*k sake keep your rude ass comments to yourself.
