NYPD Searches For Midtown Jewelry Store Robber
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- The NYPD is asking for the public's help in locating a Midtown grand larceny suspect.
Police say the suspect entered Astro Gallery of Gems at 185 Madison Avenue and removed a green Columbian emerald from a locked display case before fleeing the scene.
Police say the crime happened on Thursday, December 22 at around 11:40 a.m.
The suspect is described as a heavy set white man with a long white beard.
