Justin Tuck: I ‘Hate’ The Cowboys

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. (WFAN) — Not that the Giants’ ‘win and you’re in’ matchup with the Cowboys this week needed more hype, but Justin Tuck went and threw some fuel on the fire anyway.

“I’ve been quoted many times saying I hate the Dallas Cowboys, and I still do,” Tuck said yesterday.

The defensive end said he dislikes the Giants’ division rivals more than the Jets.

“I do not like the Cowboys, and they don’t like me,” he said. “And that’s how it’s supposed to be.”

Why does he hate the Cowboys so much?

“A lot of it’s out of respect,” Tuck said. “I think when you look at all of the history, all of the great players, the championships won, I think the two teams are probably more similar than a lot of people like to admit.”

The Giants (8-7) play Dallas (8-7) Sunday night at MetLife Stadium for the NFC East title and a playoff berth. The loser goes home.

looking forward to a great game, rivals, playing for all the marbles, it’s exciting ,and a beautiful thing to watch. i respect and admire the skill level and competitiveness that these guys bring to the game ,and the rivalry up’s the ante. i can’t imagine doing what these guys do for a living ,knowing the abuse and punishment they give and take. it’s intense. tuck’s injury from a dirty hit ,sure it plays into his take on the game, and i’d like to think that he can rise above it and get even solely by beating the cowboys. that is the kind of player/team that i want to be a fan of, ya feel me? peace jj

Let’s not forget Flozell Adams’ dirty hit on Tuck that ruined his 2009 season. Even Cowboys players like Sensabaugh and Newman publicly stated that Flozell’s hit bothered them very much and they would rather play the game clean and lose than play dirty and win.

My sentiments exactly. I think a biG part of Tuck hating the Cowboys is because of the dirty play that ruined a great season he was having. These football players all know that for the most part they only have a few good seasons in them and a limited time to make their mark and Adams’ dirty play messed up what would have been a great follow up year to his 2007 and ’08 seasons.
