NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) – You just can’t keep a good musical down.

It seems like only yesterday that the ‘Les Miserables’ marquis was removed from its Broadway home.  But don’t worry Les Miz-lovers, it’s coming back – and it’ll be ubiquitous, with a star-studded cast.

The star studded cast includes Hugh Jackman as Jean Valjean, Russell Crowe as Inspector Javert, Anne Hathaway as Fantine, and Helena Bonham Carter and Sacha Baron Cohen as the comic relief couple, the Thenardiess.

And, according to Broadwayworld.com the cast has just recruited its two ingenues.

TwitchFilm has cast none other than country songstress Taylor Swift as one of the most beloved musical heroines of all time, Eponine. Additionally, ‘Mamma Mia!’ star Amanda Seyfried has been offered the role of Cosette.

While Seyfried has proven her vocal chops on screen before, this is one of Swift’s first major acting roles. She apparently beat out Lea Michele,  Scarlett Johansson, and Evan Rachel Wood for the coveted role.
