Police Find Body In Brooklyn Trash Fire

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) — Police say the body of a man was found by officers while responding to a trash fire in Brooklyn.

Police discovered the body just before 4 a.m. Thursday on Hendrickson Street behind a furniture store after getting a call about a garbage fire. When firefighters put out the flames, police say the body was found inside the garbage.

A medical examiner will determine the man’s cause of death.

Marine Park resident Keron Liverpool tells 1010 WINS the area where the body was found is a hangout for homeless people.

“It’s unfortunate regardless of whatever person it was, homeless or anything else, it’s still somebody’s relative,” Domenic Ali said.

Police are still investigating.

crime is everywhere….the more desolate the area the less people find out about it. im sure there are plenty of bodies in the woods areas outside of the city.
