Police: Thieves Stealing Rims Off Cars In Massapequa

MASSAPEQUA, NY (CBSNewYork) — Police say quick-moving thieves have been stealing the rims and tires off of cars on Long Island.

Authorities said there have been at least five incidents.

Two Nissans, two Infintis and a Honda Civic were hit. The cars were located on North Park Avenue, Spinning Wheel Road and South Park Drive in Massapequa.

Police said it only takes a few seconds to commit this crime. In each case, the cars were left on top of cinder blocks or bricks.

    It’s South Shore, where the monkeys aggregate. Just surprised we don’t see this more often.

    This sort of thing is supposed to happen only in CITIES, not in suburbs (where REAL Americans live). This is just another example of Bloomberg “solving” NYC’s crime and poverty problems by imposing them on us. When will Suffolk County sue the City for reimbursement?
