8 Giants Superfans Break Bank For Private Jet To NFC Championship Game

NEW YORK (WFAN/AP) — Go West, Giants fans!

Eight Big Blue diehards are doing their part to take away the Candlestick Park advantage from the San Francisco 49ers.

Yep, they're renting a private jet to take them to the NFC Championship game.

Manhattan executive William Powers told the New York Post he and seven friends will spend about $7,000 apiece for the two-day trip.

"It is all about convenience," the 42-year-old father of two told the paper. "Flying private means we'll be back faster than the red eye."

The rental of the private Falcon 50 jet is $42,000. Other expenses include rooms at the Ritz-Carlton and tickets to Sunday's game.

"I didn't think they'd make it this far," Powers said, according to the Post. "There is no way we'd miss this game."

The group plans to leave New York on Saturday and return after the game Sunday.

If the Giants win and go to the Super Bowl, Powers said he and his buddies will fly privately again to Indiana.
