8 Giants Superfans Break Bank For Private Jet To NFC Championship Game

NEW YORK (WFAN/AP) — Go West, Giants fans!

Eight Big Blue diehards are doing their part to take away the Candlestick Park advantage from the San Francisco 49ers.

Yep, they’re renting a private jet to take them to the NFC Championship game.

Manhattan executive William Powers told the New York Post he and seven friends will spend about $7,000 apiece for the two-day trip.

“It is all about convenience,” the 42-year-old father of two told the paper. “Flying private means we’ll be back faster than the red eye.”

The rental of the private Falcon 50 jet is $42,000. Other expenses include rooms at the Ritz-Carlton and tickets to Sunday’s game.

“I didn’t think they’d make it this far,” Powers said, according to the Post. “There is no way we’d miss this game.”

The group plans to leave New York on Saturday and return after the game Sunday.

If the Giants win and go to the Super Bowl, Powers said he and his buddies will fly privately again to Indiana.

Hey William Powers can you also take my Dad,I’m sure you have a few extra seats on that big Jet. He is a die hard NY Giants fan for his whole life and who knows maybe we’re related? Look up Art Powers Sr in White Plains NY if you think its possible. Thanks.

traveled to 2 games this year. Washington on opening day and to San Francisco on November 13th. of this season. There is nothing like visiting different stadiums and rooting for BIG BLUE!! GO GIANTS!!!

Went to the Super Bowl in Pasadena against Denver. Had two seats on the 50 yard line right behind the Giants bench. It was like a dream and, of course, we won. It was wonderful.

Super Bowl XXI my daughter & I boarded a plane at Newark Airport where our flight took us to Minnesota. Arriving late we had to make a mad dash across the airport to catch our flight to L.A.
After attending Mass on Sunday morning we drove to Pasadena (the Rose Bowl) to attend the game. Afterward we celebrated with fans in the parking lot before driving to San Diego for our flight back to New Jersey the next day.
What better Mother–Daughter experience could you ask for!!!!
