Giants' TE Jake Ballard Questionable, Expects To Play

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. (AP) — New York Giants tight end Jake Ballard is questionable after having "a little procedure" on his right knee, but says he will play in the NFC championship game at San Francisco on Sunday.

Ballard was held out of practice Friday after having the procedure Thursday. Neither Ballard not coach Tom Coughlin would discuss what was done to the knee, but it was "not surgery."

Ballard missed the last two games of the regular season after injuring the knee against Washington on Dec. 18, but has played in the postseason.

Wide receiver Hakeem Nicks was limited in practice after tweaking an ankle, but says he'll be fine. Running back Ahmad Bradshaw (foot) returned on a limited basis, and has practiced just once a week since suffering the injury in early December.
