New Haven Line Bill Of Rights To Be Posted This Week
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) - It’s been a decade in the making for riders on the New Haven Line, but a bill of rights is finally on the way.

Jim Cameron from the Connecticut Rail Commuter Council says riders are being promised professional, safe, and reliable service in writing.
“The passenger pledge says passengers should expect heat in the winter and air conditioning in the summer, lights that work,” he said.
However, Cameron says one pledge left off the final draft is a seat.
“You only get a ride. They can’t promise a seat. That was a little too much to ask, apparently,” he told WCBS 880 reporter Monica Miller.
But he says it’s not Metro-North’s fault that they can’t offer each passenger a seat.
“This is the bitter fruit of the neglect of that railroad by the Connecticut legislature in investment, going back decades,” said Cameron.
Cameron says the passenger pledge will be posted on trains and in stations and that is expected this week.
