B&C Morning Show: Jerry's Update, Far From Uplifting

Murph in Westchester called in and offered a suggestion for Jim Dolan, in regards to getting Phil Jackson onto the Knicks bench.

Then, after Boomer & Craig opened-up today's Show talking about the Knicks on-going struggles, Jerry Recco began his first update of the morning by documenting the Knicks most recent loss, which occurred last night in Cleveland.

The Knicks fell to the Cavs 91-81 and although we heard from the likes of Mike D'Antoni, Carmelo Anthony, Amar'e Stoudemire and Tyson Chandler following the game, none offered any type of a solution.  The Knickerbockers will look to improve-upon thier 7-11 record Friday night in Miami when they take on the Heat.

The Nets got an impressive, 97-90 overtime win over the Philadelphia 76ers and the win had Avery Johnson all sorts of excited.

From the Knicks & the Nets to a couple of legends from days gone by.  Former Giants linebacker Lawrence Taylor appeared on Showtime's 'Inside the NFL' with Cris Collinsworth & James Brown for what turned out to be a rather bizarre interview.  Taylor talked about how times have changed and athletes can't get away with stuff like they (he) used to.

The second sports legend making news today was former Jets quarterback Joe Namath, who has a biography coming-up on HBO this weekend.  Yesterday 'Broadway' Joe met the media and admitted to pulling for the Giants to beat the Pats in the Super Bowl.  Namath also discussed his deteriorated relationship the Jets.

Plus, the Denver Nuggets signed former Knick Danilo Gallinari to a 4-year extension - worth $45 million, the Yankees re-sign Andruw Jones to a 1-year deal and Tiger Woods shoots a 2-under 70 in the first round of the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship...
