NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) – Shanna Spalding, the tattooed heavy metal singer, whose stage name is “Purgatory,” became better known as the Cat Woman robber.

She flexed her claws as she was sentenced today to ten years behind bars.

“I am not the Cat Woman,” she hissed. “No, no, no.”

She struggled with court officers as they lead her away, screaming “Get off me!”

She had pleaded guilty to sticking up a shoe store on Astor Place, and a French sportswear shop in SoHo, all while wearing a cat mask, and carrying a toy gun.

She also robbed a store in Queens. In that case, she changed into a full-length Burqa and spoke in a phony Arabic accent.

She was arrested in SoHo on August 24, just minutes after a robbery on Greene Street.
