NEW YORK (WFAN) — Before the game that launched “Linsanity,” Jeremy Lin spent the night on teammate Landry Fields’ sofa.
That’s already a well-known verse in the week-old lore of Lin.
What we weren’t aware of? The 6-foot-3 point guard had to sleep on just two cushions.
On Sunday, Fields tweeted a photo of the resting place that energized Lin enough to drop 25 points on the New Jersey Nets last week.
“Ladies and gentlemen, the one and only couch made famous by @JLin7!” Fields tweeted. “Let the bidding begin.”
“I think I might just move in with him,” Lin said after emerging against the Nets last Saturday, according to the New York Post.
The photo had been retweeted more than 2,000 times by Monday morning.
NBA fans just can’t get enough “Linsanity.” Need further proof?
How about the tribute songs that have been popping up on YouTube, like this one-minute a cappella number from Stephanie K:
And then there’s “Nick of Time” by MC Jin:
Lin has led the once-listless Knicks to five straight wins — all without All-Stars Carmelo Anthony or Amar’e Stoudemire, who are expected to rejoin the team this week.
Could get Lin-teresting.
