B&C Morning Show: A Somber Update With Some 'Linsanity' Sprinkled In

Jerry Recco began his update with the news that Gary Carter had passed away at the age of 57. He also played some reaction after the news of his death from the likes of Bud Harrelson, Ron Darling, Wally Backman, Davey Johnson and Tom Seaver.

Carter was an 11-time All-Star catcher, who hit 324 career home runs and knocked in 1225 RBIs.  He spent 5 of his 19 seasons with the Mets, of course helping lead the Amazins' to the World Series title in 1986.  He was inducted in the Baseball Hall of Fame in 2003.

Plus, multiple reports say the trade between Yankees and the Pirates involving A.J. Burnett should be complete by tomorrow, Rangers get off to a sloppy start and lose 4-2 to the Blackhawks (snapping the Blueshirts' 4-game winning streak), the Knicks are home tonight for the Hornets and are also expected to sign free-agent J.R. Smith maybe as soon as today.

Speaking of the Knicks, after Jeremy Lin joined the program yesterday in his first ever radio interview in New York and shed some light on the whole 'will Melo want to play with Lin' nonsense, Michael Kay went around taking credit for the revelation.  Well this morning Craig addressed the situation and let us all know what he really thinks of Kay...
