Bobby Ojeda didn’t check in with the guys Friday regarding the passing of former Mets teammate Gary Carter on Thursday.

In this interview from January, Ojeda talks fondly of Carter with Boomer & Carton.

Ojeda admitted that despite the catcher’s squeaky-clean image, “The Kid” fit right in with the bad boys of ’86.

“It was just a bunch of guys,” he said. “It was a bunch of 15-year-olds wearing New York Met uniforms — and having a ball.”
