Rockland Coupon Queen Sending Another Shipment To The Troops

VALLEY COTTAGE, NY (CBSNewYork) – Rockland County’s ‘Coupon Queen’ has done it again!

WCBS 880’s Sean Adams On The Story

Anna D’Souza, who we first told you about in an installment of Stories from Main Street, has filled her living room with food and supplies for troops overseas, without spending much money of all.

Among the items there is toothpaste, cough drops, shampoo, mouse, canned vegetables, deodorants, razors, tea bags, Nestle Crunch, batteries, fish oils, medicines, aspirin, rice, macaroni, pens, hot sauce, mustard, and pancake mix.

Her latest shopping trip came to more than $140. After coupons, she paid $7.19. The receipt was about six-feet-long.

Clipping coupons started out as a hobby for D’Souza, of Valley Cottage. It’s now her passion.

The West Nyack post office is, once again, shipping the supplies to the military absolutely free.

Thank you on behalf of all of the active duty and former military spouses out there. You are doing a very nice thing for those who serve our country.

Go Annie Go – what a wonderful thing you are doing for anyone in need!

I bet they have enough mouse over there. What you want to bet it was mousse she sent, not mouse?

Cindy, if you can’t say something nice about a nice deed, please spare us your sarcasm. Thanks.

You need to lighten up. What this gal is doing is absolutely WONDERFUL, and I never would imply or say anything to the contrary. That I poked a little fun at the author of the article for not knowing how to spell mousse is a totally different thing… and truth is, it might not even have been the author who couldn’t spell. Spell check will do that to you too.
