B&C Morning Show: All Nonsense On Back Pages

With Boomer out and the local newspapers' sports sections littered with questionable stories, Craig, flying solo, had his work cut out for him.

The first one Craig addressed surrounded Knicks owner James Dolan and the reports that he could facilitate a trade of some sort prior to the NBA trade-deadline (March 15).  Craig guaranteed Dolan will not tinker with the Knicks roster in any way -- and said anyone who thinks otherwise is 'stupid.'

Nonsense story number two came via the Yankees, as the team's managing general partner Hal Steinbrenner met with the media yesterday down in Tampa and talked about lowering the Bombers' $200-plus million payroll to somewhere around $189 million by 2014.  According to Steinbrenner, this is a plan to get some of their revenue sharing money back, which makes perfect sense.

Others have taken Hal's plan to mean the sky is falling and the Yankees will never be the same.  Craig calls this line of thinking nonsensical.

So it was there that this solo edition of the Morning Extravaganza got started...
