NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) – Dancing Bluto? Singing Otter?
Get ready for it.
Universal Pictures Stage Productions is moving forward with a musical version of the classic 1978 comedy “National Lampoon’s Animal House.”
Music for the show will be by multiplatinum-selling rock group Barenaked Ladies. The show’s book will be written by Michael Mitnick. Casey Nicholaw, the director and choreographer of “The Book Of Mormon,” will do the same for Animal House.
There’s no word yet on when the antics of the Delta Tau Chi fraternity will actually land on the Great White Way.
The movie and upcoming musical tell the story of a dean who tries to expel the raucous Deltas from the campus of fictional Faber .
