Bronx Man, Sent Home After Being Shot In Neck, Returns To Hospital

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) — A Bronx man, rushed to the hospital after being shot in the neck and was released with the bullet still in his body, returned to the hospital Saturday, only two days later.

Ricardo Acevedo’s wife had to call him an ambulance Saturday morning after he complained of pain.

Acevedo was taken to Montefiore Hospital not long after speaking with CBS 2 through a translator inside his wife’s beauty salon.

“Some guy with a gun and he was shot in the neck, then he said Oh my God. I have blood on my head’,” he told CBS 2’s Don Dahler.

Acevedo was injured Thursday night while replacing a security camera outside a Pelham Parkway deli. A 12-year-old and 15-year-old girl were also caught in the crossfire.

He said he heard the sound of gunfire before realizing he was hit.

“I feel scared but always I believe in God,” he said.

Surveillance cameras captured the suspect, seen running through the deli, dressed in a green-hooded sweatshirt and yellow pants.

After the shooting he fled down Holland Avenue with two others apparently chasing him down.

Acevedo was rushed to Saint Barnabas Hospital after the shooting, and soon after was sent home.

“The doctors say ‘You can go back home and come back Monday’,” Acevedo said.

Despite an X-ray showing the bullet lodged close to his skull, the hospital defends its actions, saying “The bullet was not posing any danger to the patient. It was not in the skull but in the skin. As a precaution, doctors did not want to remove it, and the victim has a follow-up appointment with a clinic on Monday.”

For Acevedo, the appointment didn’t seem to come soon enough. He remains hospitalized Saturday night.

The two girls who were also shot were treated and released from Jacobi Hospital.

No arrests have been made.

St. Barnabas hospital is the worst hospital to go to….they rather send you home to die than to treat you.

The FBI and DEA fabricate evidence, steal from suspects and use murder to close bad cases.
After two wars spanning ten years, the U.S. Military has become proficient in its concealment and use of torture. Torture is also being used by the DOJ (Department Of Justice) to help fabricate evidence and punish dissent.

The FBI and DEA use sleep deprivation, drugging, humiliation, psycological stress, stress positions, threats of violence, threats of death, etc… Suspects respond better to suggestion and hyptotism which in turn make for higher conviction rates.
