B&C Morning Show: The Mets, The Knicks,The Masters & More

Johan Santana will be back on the mound for the Mets today when they kick-off their 2012 against the Atlanta Braves at Citi Field.  Santana last pitched in a regular season for the Mets on September 2nd, 2010 - coincidentally against the Braves.  Since then, Johan has been recovering from surgery on a torn capsule in his left shoulder, so it was there that Jerry Recco began his very first update of the Show.

We also heard from funny man Howie Rose, who is masquerading as the voice of the Mets on WFAN, as he displayed his comedic timing, which drew praise and a backhanded compliment from Craig.

Andy Pettitte made his first spring appearance yesterday in Tampa against the Mets, while former Met Jose Reyes played spoiler in his Marlins debut, breaking up Cardinals' starter Kyle Lohse's no-hit bid, with a single leading off the bottom of the 7th inning.  Cardinals went on to win the game 4-1.

The Knicks prepare to take on the Magic tonight in Orlando.  The Magic have lost four games in-a-row, a slide which began at MSG, with a 108-86 loss to the Knicks on March 28th, so one would have to think Dwight Howard & the gang will approach tonight's game with revenge on their minds.

Plus, golf's first major gets underway at Augusta National Golf Club, down in Georgia later today and Boomer is having a tough time grasping the nuances of Craig's 'Morning Show Masters Pool'...
