NEW YORK(CBSNewYork) — The driver who was killed in a head-on collision in Suffolk County on Saturday night, had previously been involved in two hit-and-run accidents, according to police.
Julio Velez, 50, was killed when he drove his Saturn sedan into oncoming traffic and slammed into an SUV in Riverhead.
Authorities say that Velez had fled the scene of two other crashes in which he slammed head-on into other vehicles.
