Syracuse University Upgrading Football Complex
SYRACUSE, N.Y. (AP) — Syracuse University is upgrading its football complex.
Improvements will be made to the locker room, student-athlete lounge, cafeteria, Hall of Fame lobby, and team auditorium in the facility that serves as the center of the program's daily operation.
There will also be interactive exhibits, including touch screen monitors and video displays of stars from the past, such as Jim Brown, John Mackey, Floyd Little, Dwight Freeney, Marvin Harrison and Donovan McNabb.
The school's lone Heisman Trophy, won by Ernie Davis in 1961, will be prominently displayed.
The $5 million project is scheduled to be completed before the start of the season.
The improvements follow construction of the Strength and Conditioning Facility in 2005 and renovations of the football sports medicine facility last year.
