Knicks' Amar'e Stoudemire To Return Tonight Against Cavaliers

NEW YORK (WFAN) -- The Knicks and red-hot scorer Carmelo Anthony are about to get Amar'e Stoudemire back for the stretch run.

The All-Star will make his much-anticipated return to the lineup Friday night in Cleveland, as expected, interim head coach Mike Woodson confirmed.

Stoudemire hinted at the move Thursday on Twitter.

"The fans have been asking when I'm coming back, here you go," Stoudemire wrote.

His tweet included a link to an exclusive on Yahoo Sports' ThePostGame.com. Stoudemire told the site he'd return against the Cavaliers.

Stoudemire has been out since late-March with a bulging disc in his back. The Knicks have been a force in his absence, going 9-4 in 13 straight games without "STAT."

His return will come just in time for New York, who have clinched a postseason berth with four games remaining. They'll likely enter as the seventh- or eighth-seed in the Eastern Conference, with Chicago or Miami to battle in the first round of the playoffs.

The 6-foot-11, 260-pound forward has averaged 17.6 points and eight rebounds in 43 games this season.

Do you think Stoudemire's return might mess with the team's chemistry? Sound off below...
