B&C Morning Show: Jerry's Update

Jerry Recco's first update of the morning got going with some news and notes from the Mets, who welcomed Jose Reyes back to Citi Field last night and then proceeded to beat his Marlins by a score of 2-1.  Johan Santana struck out 11 in his 6 2/3 innings of work, but did not factor in the decision.

In his four starts this season the Mets have not yet scored a run while Santana has been in the game.

The Yankees saw their four-game winning streak come to an end after being hit with a 'Hurling Darvish.' (See what I did there?)  I'm talking of course about Rangers starter Yu Darvish, who was brilliant in Texas last night, which lead to a 2-0 loss for the Bombers.

Plus, Al Dukes and his date stayed to see the end of the Devils 3-2 OT win over the Panthers last night in New Jersey.  The win sets up a Game 7 Thursday night in Florida - no word if Al will be making a road trip.  Metta World Peace suspended 7 games for his assault on the Thunder's James Harden and Boomer & Craig talk about the importance of tonight's Clippers-Knicks game at the Garden...
