Somers’ Monologue: Silver Lining After Mets’ Double-Double Disasters
NEW YORK (WFAN) — As everybody knows, the Mets came into Tuesday night’s game after a double disaster against San Francisco on Monday.
Then there was the double dose of bad news with the injuries to Mike Pelfrey and Jason Bay.
So a win over Ozzie Guillen and Jose Reyes you’d have to say was a silver lining. A little sunshine breaking through the dark clouds that always seem to follow the Mets around.
You say it twice, because Lucas Duda walked around the bases for the tie — and drove home the winner in the eighth inning. Everyone driving home listening to the Happy Recap!
The Mets win as much as they survive — not only other teams, but sometimes even themselves.
