NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) - Thousands of people are putting on their walking shoes this weekend to raise money and awareness for the March of Dimes.

The March for Babies is the signature event of the year for the organization, and it’s dedicated to protecting premature babies and helping their families. It’s taking place throughout the Tri-State area on Sunday morning. Start times are dependent on walk sites.

On Saturday morning, CBS 2 sat down with Maura Dollard from the March of Dimes and the Saji family, an ambassador family.
