B&C Morning Show: Yet Another Epic Rangers' Win
The Rangers and Capitals hooked up for Game 5 of their Eastern Conference semifinal last night at the Garden and they produced another epic hockey game. At least fans of the Blueshirts will remember it that way after their 3-2 win in overtime.
Boomer was in the building and described feeling like a 10-year-old while watching Brad Richards tie things up with 6.6 seconds remaining, which set the stage for Marc Staal's game-winner in the extra-period. Needless to say it was a late night for Uncle Booms, but he didn't let that stop him from bringing his passion with him into the Allstate Studio shortly after 6 a.m.
Boomer explained to Craig that he was very happy about the thrilling win - which gave the Rangers a 3 games to 2 series advantage - and how emotionally invested he is in this team. With that said, the Blonde Bomber said there is no time to celebrate this morning, it's time to focus on Game 6 - the celebration will only occur if/when the Cup is raised.
Craig wasn't thrilled with his radio partner's downtrodden mood, expecting an excited Boomer bouncing off the walls, not a guy acting as if he is actually preparing to play in Game 6 himself -- which is what Boomer was this morning. Craig vowed to have the Booms in more of a celebratory mood by the time today's show concluded...
