Singh said his cousin actually discovered the girl's body hanging on the back of a bedroom door.

"I was right there, but I didn't go in because I don't want to see it because I have small kids and stuff," Singh told 1010 WINS' Al Jones.

The 6th grader at IS-98 skipped school Monday, reportedly texting friends suicidal messages.  Gina Vega's sister got one of those texts.

"It's really...it's bad," she told 1010 WINS' Jones.

The girl's distraught mother had to be hospitalized.  Police and school officials said they found no sign the girl was a victim of bullying.
