LIRR Temporarily Suspends Service On Oyster Bay Branch After Body Found On Tracks

OYSTER BAY, N.Y. (CBSNewYork/AP) -- Some Long Island Rail Road commuters faced delays after an engineer spotted a body on the tracks in Oyster Bay.

Police were called to the scene after the victim was found Wednesday morning.

All service was temporarily suspended at the height of rush hour on the Oyster Bay branch as police and the medical examiner responded to the scene, according to the MTA.

Service was restored shortly after 8 a.m.
