Nets' Deron Williams: 'I Don't Know Where I'm Going Next Season'

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. (WFAN) - Nets point guard Deron Williams took some time to speak to reporters on Tuesday at the Nets' free agent mini-camp at the PNY Center in East Rutherford.

The former first-round pick of the Jazz in 2005 reiterated yet again that he doesn't know where he will sign as a free agent this summer. He's repeatedly, however, made it clear that his intention is to opt out of the final year of his contract and embark on the open market.

"I just hate that people think they know where I'm going," Williams told CBSSports.com. "I don't know where I'm going, so there's no way for them to know."

The three-time NBA All-Star also made a point to say that he wants all the speculation of where he is heading to cease and desist.

He did say, however, that he plans on making a decision as soon as possible. For all those waiting on pins and needles, they'll have to sit back and be patient, as Williams is forbidden from talking with any teams until July 1.

The six-foot-three, 209-pounder averaged 21 points and 8.7 assists in 55 games this past season for the Nets.

Will Deron Williams be playing at the Barclays Center as a member of the Nets next season, or is he headed elsewhere? Offer your thoughts and comments below...
