Giants' Witherspoon Carted Off During OTAs; Another Torn ACL Feared

NEW YORK (WFAN) -- Giants backup cornerback Brian Witherspoon went down with an apparent leg injury Wednesday and had to be carted off the field during the team's first day of OTAs.

It could be another tough blow for Witherspoon, who missed the entire 2011 season after tearing the anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee last August. The cornerback chronicled his recovery on Twitter, and wrote he was "excited" to get OTAs underway last week.

"(Giants coach Tom) Coughlin said early indications are CB Brian Witherspoon tore his ACL again," Mike Garafolo of the Newark Star-Ledger tweeted.

Also on Wednesday, Garafolo reported via Twitter that cornerback Antwaun Molden "pulled up" during drills and was "grabbing the back of his left leg." He too had to be carted off.

Looks like another year of early injuries for Big Blue. Let's get your comments below...
