Queens Bike Run Will Benefit Cancer Charity

NEW YORK(CBSNewYork) --The 19th Annual Bikers Against Breast Cancer Run will take place in Queens on Sunday. Funds raised by the 30 mile ride will benefit SHAREing & CAREing Inc, a Queens based cancer support group.

SHAREing & CAREing was created by a group of women who survived breast cancer. The organization was originally created to meet the needs of women living with breast and ovarian cancer, but it has expanded to include men suffering from prostate and colon cancer as well.

The bike run will kick off in front of Harley Davidson of New York.

"This year marks the third year that the NYC HOGs(Harley Owners Group) have chosen SHAREing & CAREing to be recipient of their fundraising efforts and my Board and I could not be happier or more grateful" said Anna Kril, Founder and Executive Director.

The run will culminate at the Forest Park Band Shell where food, music, and vendors will be waiting.

Interested participants can register on the morning of the run from 9:30 until 11:30, at Harley Davidson New York.

Council Member Peter F Vallone Jr will serve as Grand Marshall of the Run.
