B&C Morning Show: Bob Ojeda Reflects On Mets Before Looking Forward

In light of all the magic current surrounding those Amazin' Mets, Al Dukes reached out to SNY studio analyst Bob Ojeda to get his take on it all, beginning with the historic start from Johan Santana Friday night - when he no-hit the St. Louis Cardinals - becoming the first Met in their 51-year history to accomplish the rare feat.

Actually before Ojeda could join the fun, he was forced to listen to his 'theme song' if you will - Tony Orlando and Dawn's 1970 release 'Candida' - which he seems to really enjoy. I mean how could he not, how many people have their own theme song for crying out loud?!

With the good vibrations flowing, Ojeda talked some more about Santana and all of the storylines surrounding his performance.  Ojeda is not under the belief that Carlos Beltran's 'hit that wasn't' marred the night at all, saying with conviction that absolutely no asterisk is needed.

Ojeda also offered his thoughts on RA Dickey (who followed-up Johan's performance with a gem of his own on Saturday), Jason Bay (whose return is still pending) and the rest of these 'magical' Mets, who are currently tied for first place in the NL East.

Not surprisingly, Ojeda kindly declined Craig's invitation to play golf tomorrow along with Boomer, offering no real excuse and leaving Craig still without a partner for the round...
