NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) - In the wake of Friday’s thunderstorms following consecutive days of severe heat, thousands have been left without power in the Tri-State Area.

Still, there is a long way to go until the issue is resolved.

As of Saturday afternoon, the Long Island Power Authority reported that 130 of its customers are without power, most of which reside in Hempstead, Oyster Bay and North Hempstead.

Con Edison of New York confirmed that 647 customers combined are without power in New York City and Westchester County. There are also three customers without power in Rockland and Orange Counties.

Jersey Central Power & Light announced that 250 customers are without power, most of which reside in Hunterdon County. PSEG also said that about 230 of its customers are without power.

And in The Constitution State, Connecticut Light & Power reported that 4,050 customers are without power.
